[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] T’way Air announced that it will launch a new Incheon–Jakarta route on April 29, with flight reservations opening today (March 10).
The route will be operated using a mid-size widebody Airbus A330-300, configured with 347 seats (12 Business Class and 335 Economy Class).
Flights will operate five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Departures leave Incheon International Airport at 3:10 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Soekarno–Hatta International Airport at 8:10 p.m.
Return flights depart Jakarta at 9:50 p.m. and arrive in Incheon at 7:05 a.m. the following day, with an approximate flight time of 7 hours and 10 minutes.
This marks the first time a Korean low-cost carrier (LCC) has launched service on the Incheon–Jakarta route.
T’way Air was able to operate the route after receiving it as part of the redistribution of monopoly routes following the merger between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines.
Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia and serves as the country’s political, economic, and cultural hub.
