L&F supplies 20GWh LFP cathode material to US battery companies

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Paul Lee] L&F announced on the 3rd that it recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ONE, a lithium phosphate iron (LFP) battery company for North American electric vehicles (EV), for the first time in Korea to supply mid- to long-term LFP anode materials.

ONE is an LFP cell startup based in Michigan, USA. It is engaged in electric vehicles, energy storage devices (ESS), and renewable energy grid business.

Under the MOU, the two companies will work together on mass production and supply of LFP batteries to be mass-produced at the ONE Michigan Giga Factory from 2027. The Giga Factory will operate at the level of 20 gigawatt hours (GWh) and L&F will supply all of the LFP anode materials.

Cooperation on additional supplies is also under discussion. L&F has recently completed and is operating a pilot line for mass production of LFMP with LFP and manganese.
