According to the shipbuilding industry on the 2nd, Hanwha Ocean signed a 50 billion won merchant block supply contract with Samsung Heavy Industries. Hanwha Ocean's blocks are expected to be used in some of the 16 10,000 6000TEU (1TEU=20-foot container) methanol-powered container ships that Samsung Heavy Industries won from Asian shipowners in July.

The contract amount per ship is known to be between 10 billion won and 11 billion won. An official of Hanwha Ocean said, "It is true that the contract is signed, but we cannot confirm the details."
