[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Hanjin Group Chairman Cho Won-tae said, "I don't think there is a duplicate workforce (even if it merges with Asiana Airlines)."

"In order to provide good service for customers, we will need more people in all areas in the future," Chairman Cho said at a town hall meeting with employees at Korean Air headquarters in Gangseo, Seoul on the 20th.

Chairman Cho virtually reaffirmed what he has said so far (after the merger with Asiana Airlines) that there has been no restructuring. In 2020, he emphasized, "There is no restructuring (after the acquisition of Asiana Airlines). We will make a way to welcome all employees as a family and work together."

Chairman Cho said, "Korean Air executives will take Asiana aircraft as much as possible after the merger with Asiana Airlines."
