[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Bang Si-hyuk, chairman of HYBE, the "father of BTS," has decided to receive 1 won in salary this year.

HYBE unveiled the '2024 In-house Director Remuneration Plan' through a public announcement on the 8th.

According to this, Chairman Bang's salary last year was 50 million won, but this year it was set at '1 won'. In this regard, HYBE explained, "As a chairman, I decided to be 1 won to strengthen responsible management and emphasize the message of Hive's 'Pay for Performance' compensation philosophy."

However, they receive a bonus of 980 million won according to the short-term performance incentive system. This was decided by the Compensation Committee based on management performance and evaluation indicators for 2023, HYBE said.

Meanwhile, Park Ji-won, CEO of HIVE, received 1.52 billion won (916 million won in salary, 600 million won in bonuses, and 4 million won in other earned income) last year, and was decided to pay 2 billion won (1 billion won in salary and 1 billion won in bonuses) this year.
