[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] The basic fare for medium-sized taxis in Seoul rose 1,000 won (26 percent) from 3,800 won to 4,800 won from 4 a.m. on Feb. 1.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 31st, the basic fare for medium-sized taxis in Seoul has increased by 1,000 won (26.3%) from 3,800 won to 4,800 won from 4 a.m. on February 1.
In addition, the section to which the basic fee is applied will be reduced from 2㎞ to 1.6㎞, and the distance to which the additional fee increases by 100 won will be reduced from 132ｍ to 131ｍ, respectively.
The time charge also goes up. It changes from 100 won per 31 seconds to 100 won per 30 seconds. Model and large taxis in Seoul will also increase their basic fare by 500 won (7.7%) from the current 6,500 won per 3㎞ to 7,000 won from February.
Accordingly, if you move about 10㎞ from Jonggak Station to Gangnam Station at night from February, you will have to pay 17,700 won for a taxi.
It is an increase of 1,900 won (12.0%) from the current (15,800 won) and 4,000 won (29.2%) compared to December last year when there was no late-night discount adjustment (13,700 won).
