[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Naver has announced plans to significantly enhance its support for Chzzk streamers in 2025. This includes integrating streamer channels with Naver Smart Stores to enable merchandise sales and expanding content creation support to a maximum of six times a year. Alongside these measures, Naver aims to foster streamer growth, enhance viewer experiences, and diversify content offerings.

According to industry sources on December 15, Naver held a meeting at its 1784 headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, with Chzzk partner streamers to share its business roadmap for the upcoming year. Partner streamers are the highest-ranking streamers on Chzzk, recognized for delivering high-quality streaming content.

As part of the roadmap, Naver will introduce channel integration with Naver Smart Stores. This update will allow Chzzk streamers to seamlessly connect their channels to Smart Stores, making it easier to sell fan merchandise to their audience.

The range of sponsorship options will also be expanded. Fans will soon be able to provide financial support even when streamers are not live. Additionally, Tier 2 subscription plans will see enhanced benefits.

Support for content creation will also be strengthened. Currently, Chzzk streamers can receive up to KRW 30 million (approx. USD 22,000) per session, with a maximum of four sessions per year. Starting next year, the maximum number of sessions will increase to six annually, maintaining the same total funding limit while encouraging more diverse content production.

Furthermore, a new content creation support program will be introduced. While the existing program focuses on Chzzk partner streamers, the new initiative will target pro-grade streamers, providing additional resources to help them produce high-quality content.
