[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Seah Group is reportedly discussing a special alloy supply contract with SpaceX, an aerospace company of Elon Musk in the U.S.
According to the industry on the 26th, Seah Changwon Special Steel, a manufacturer of special steel parts for defense industry within Seah Group, recently began negotiations to supply special alloys for rockets and satellites to SpaceX.
If Seah Group succeeds in signing a delivery contract, it will be the first Korean company to trade with SpaceX. Seah Changwon Special Steel has been producing alloys such as nickel, chromium, and titanium, which are special steel for defense industry.
However, the size, duration, and conditions of the contract are not known.
