[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Qualcomm equipped with the most advanced 'Snapdragon' on the Galaxy S24 Ultra

Qualcomm made an announcement on the 18th that its Snapdragon 8 third-generation mobile platform (Snapdragon | 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy) has been mounted on Samsung Electronics' latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S24 Ultra model.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will showcase the Galaxy AI through the third generation of Snapdragon 8 for Galaxy, which is synonymous with intelligence and boasts unrivaled performance and power efficiency.

The Galaxy S Ultra model is equipped with the third-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 model and is the premium among the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. The price is set at 1,698,400 won.

Wi-Fi 7 is a Wi-Fi service aimed at the 6G era, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) aims to implement speeds of up to 40Gbps in Wi-Fi 7. If Wi-Fi 6 is a technology that focuses on maximizing efficiency in multi-access environments, Wi-Fi 7 aims to achieve low latency, extensive transmission speed and simultaneous transmission and reception.

On the other hand, Samsung installed the Qualcomm Snapdragon AP on both Basic, Plus and Ultra models, but the Galaxy S24 installed Qualcomm's latest AP only on the top model 'Ultra' and applied its AP Exynos 2400 to the other two models.

Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung Electronics' MX business division, stressed the superior performance of the Exynos 2400.
