[Alpha Biz= Kim Sangjin] Xiaomi Korea will hold a press event on January 15 at 10:30 AM at the Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul to celebrate the launch of new products, the company announced on Monday.

Having operated as a distributor in Korea since 2016, Xiaomi recently established a Korean subsidiary and assembled a team of about 20 employees to kick off its operations. During the event, Xiaomi is expected to unveil its new smartphones, including the Xiaomi 14T and Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, along with other products such as TVs, wireless earbuds, and robot vacuums. The TV models are expected to range from 43 to 100 inches, and the wireless earbuds are likely to be the ‘Redmi Buds 6.’ A new smartwatch, the ‘Redmi Watch 5,’ and the robot vacuum 'X20 Max' are also expected to be showcased.

Launched globally in September of last year, the Xiaomi 14T features the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor and a premium camera partnership with Leica, utilizing the JumiLux optical lens. It also supports up to 4000 nits brightness and 67W fast charging. The latest model in Xiaomi’s popular budget-friendly "Redmi Note" series, the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor. It will be available in Korea starting January 15, aligning with its global release on January 10.

Given the global price of the Xiaomi 14T at €649.99 (about 990,000 KRW) in Europe and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G at ₹24,999 (about 430,000 KRW) in India, the domestic retail price is expected to be similar. Xiaomi is adopting a two-track strategy, targeting the mid-range market with the Xiaomi 14T and the budget market with the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G.
