[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Naver Cloud made an announcement on the 19th that it has applied convergence research results of its super-massive artificial intelligence (AI) HyperCLOVAX-based large-scale user action model (CLOVA CLUE) and LG Electronics' smart home-specific user action model (LEAD) to Naver display advertisements.

As a result, the advertising effect was about twice as high as before.

CLOVA CLUE is a large-scale user behavior model that can provide information embedded in data while securing personal information based on HyperCLOVA X.

It is characterized by learning user service behavior to improve customer understanding and use it for marketing, product recommendation, and advertising targeting.

Naver Cloud promoted research cooperation with LG Electronics in the second half of last year on advanced technologies for large-scale user behavior model convergence.

The purpose of the collaboration between the CLOVA CLUE model and the LEAD model was to confirm the effectiveness of utilizing customer behavior information between the two companies.

The two companies measured purchase prediction performance by applying data from a total of eight product lines, including LG Electronics refrigerators and stylers, to the convergence model.

As a result, we were able to predict more precisely the customer's interest in and purchase of LG Electronics products.

LG Electronics applied this to Naver display ads in December last year and achieved more than twice the previous advertisement click performance (CTR).
