[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] LG Electronics is accelerating 'electric field (VS) sprint' by developing an autonomous vehicle platform.

LG Electronics announced on 5th that it has developed an autonomous driving platform that integrates infotainment (IVI) system and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with Magna. LG Electronics' IVI technology and Magna's ADAS and autonomous driving solutions were included in a single chipset module (SoC).

The platform is characterized by the integration of IVI, ADAS, and autonomous driving solutions into one component. Through this, it is advantageous to reduce the volume of parts and secure vehicle space.

LG Electronics will unveil the platform for the first time at CES 2024 in Las Vegas on the 9th (local time). After that, we set a goal to introduce the 2027 model through the technical stabilization process.
