[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Wemade announced on the 6th that its annual sales reached 607.2 billion won last year, up 31.0% from a year earlier.

Wemade said it increased year-on-year as the domestic launch of Night Crow developed by Mad Engine and the "The Legend of Mir" Chinese IP (Intellectual Property) license deposit of 100 billion won were reflected.

Profitability, on the other hand, has backtracked. The deficit widened from the previous year (-84.9 billion won) to 112.6 billion won in operating losses. The company explained that it is due to the increase in sales linkage costs due to increased sales and labor costs due to business expansion. Net loss for the current term was 209.6 billion won. It increased its deficit compared to the previous year (-185.8 billion won), reflecting impairment losses on investment stocks and losses on derivatives valuations on convertible bonds.

Sales in the fourth quarter of last year were 118.4 billion won, up 2.8% from a year earlier due to increased license sales. Operating losses fell 146.0 percent to 70.8 billion won.

WeMadeMax, an affiliate of WeMade's game business, posted annual sales of 69.8 billion won and operating profit of 3.8 billion won last year, down 19.0% and 85.0%, respectively, from a year earlier.
