[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] EVSIS, a subsidiary of Lotte Data Communication, will enter the Southeast Asian charging market by creating an electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Indonesia as an Industrial Trade Cooperation Development Support Project (ODA).

According to Lotte Data Communication on the 21st, in November this year, EVSIS won an Indonesian charging system and infrastructure construction project for an industrial and trade cooperative development support project carried out by the Korea Automobile Research Institute. Through this project, EVSIS will supply about 70 super fast chargers (200kW) and slow chargers (22kW) sequentially to Indonesia over the next three years. Starting this month, 14 places, including Indonesian public institutions, state-run gas stations and complex charging stations, will be installed and operated with ultra-fast and slow chargers and systems.

The ultra-fast charger supplied by EVSIS has applied high-temperature damage prevention technology and flood sensors in consideration of the Indonesian climate. And the slow charger is an 22kW charger certified by the European CE, a model that only has EVSIS and provides charging speed three times faster than the domestic slow charger. The South Korean standard full-speed charger uses a 5-pin Type1 (J1772) coupler developed for the single-stage 220V, while the European standard full-speed charger uses a 7-pin Type2 coupler developed for three-phase 400V to increase charging efficiency.

EVSIS also plans to dominate the Indonesian market through quality infrastructure and services that provide charger installation, platform operation programs and maintenance services. To that end, the company plans to expand its charging business in Indonesia by signing a charger installation and maintenance contract with its parent company, Lotte Data Communication Indonesia.
