[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] NCSoft has launched its second round of criminal action against players using illegal programs in its MMORPG Aion 2, filing complaints against seven additional users.

On January 20, NCSoft submitted criminal complaints to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul against seven individuals who repeatedly used unauthorized macros in Aion 2. This follows a first round of legal action on December 12, when five macro users were filed against.

According to NCSoft, the accused repeatedly used programs that are prohibited in the game. Their actions disrupted normal gameplay operations, including account trading and in-game currency circulation.

The company stated that these activities undermine the game’s economic system and negatively affect legitimate players, prompting its decision to pursue strong legal measures, including criminal complaints.

Since the launch of Aion 2, NCSoft has enforced a total of 65 rounds of disciplinary actions against policy-violating accounts, affecting 727,748 accounts.

NCSoft has continuously communicated the results of its anti-cheating measures and future plans through live broadcasts and official announcements, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for the use of illegal programs.

The company plans to continue its aggressive approach following the second complaint, maintaining ongoing monitoring and analysis of accounts suspected of using illegal programs. Immediate legal action will be taken against confirmed violators.
