[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Naver has begun formal procedures to resume its news partnership evaluation process, which has been suspended since May 2023.
The company is currently selecting candidates for two review bodies—the Partnership Review Committee and the Operations Evaluation Committee—which will assess new media applications and review compliance by existing partners.
Once the process is completed, Naver is expected to conduct evaluations later this year, potentially allowing new media outlets to join Naver News while removing others. Naver is also preparing to announce updated partnership policies and hold a briefing session after the Lunar New Year holiday.
