[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Hyundai Motor Company (005380) announced on December 2 that it sold 355,729 vehicles globally in November, marking a 3.7% year-over-year decline.

Both domestic and international sales fell last month. Domestic sales dropped 12.3% to 63,170 units, while overseas sales slid 1.6% to 292,559 units. The decline is attributed to production disruptions caused by supplier strikes and a high base effect from strong new vehicle sales in November 2023.

In the domestic market, sedans accounted for 17,891 units, while recreational vehicles (RVs) totaled 22,978 units. The Santa Fe led RV sales with 7,576 units, becoming Hyundai’s top-selling model in November, followed by the Tucson (5,583 units), Casper (3,745 units), Palisade (2,282 units), and Kona (2,034 units).

Among sedans, the Sonata topped the list with 6,658 units, followed by the Avante (5,452 units) and the Grandeur (5,047 units).

The Genesis luxury brand sold 10,951 units in total, with the G80 leading at 3,487 units, followed by the GV80 (3,362 units), GV70 (3,155 units), and G90 (683 units).

Commercial vehicles like the Porter recorded 4,682 units, while the Staria sold 4,094 units. Sales of medium-to-large buses and trucks totaled 2,401 units.
