[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Hanwha Aerospace participated in funding for US secondary battery startups. Hanwha Group has invested directly in startups at a time when it is expanding cooperation with LG Energy Solutions in its secondary battery and battery businesses.

Hanwha Aerospace announced on the 30th that it has participated in Forge Nano's Series C investment with US investment companies OIC, Catalan Ventures, and Ecent Fund. Through this, Posino attracted $ 50 million (about 66.4 billion won).

"We participated as a lead investor in this Series C investment round," a Hanwha Aerospace official said. "It is difficult to reveal the specific amount, but we invested the largest amount among many companies." However, Hanwha Aerospace is said to have invested less than half of the bid amount ($ 50 million).

Posinono has a technology that extends life by coating secondary battery materials. Hanwha Aerospace expects the investment to expand synergy with the eco-friendly power system and energy storage (ESS) business used in urban air traffic (UAM) and submarines and ships.
