[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Kakao Games announced on June 18 that it will officially release MMORPG 'Odin: Valhalla Rising (Odin')' in the Japanese market on June 15.
Kakao Games opened an event page for 'Odin' on the 18th and started a character name and server preoccupation event. Ahead of its official launch, Kakao Games held a separate media showcase in Japan on April 27 and unveiled detailed plans for local services.
Since then, it has been actively marketing for local users by operating pre-experience zones in major Japanese cities such as Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo, and Sendai.
Odin's pre-registration in Japan began on the day of the local media showcase and recently exceeded 500,000 registrants.
Kakao Games plans to launch 'Odin' in Taiwan and China in March last year, expand its service area to Japan on June 15, and gradually develop the business vision of 'Beyond Korea' in 2023.
