[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] LG CNS, which is pursuing a listing on the KOSPI (Korea Composite Stock Price Index), is facing increased pressure as it becomes entangled in multiple legal disputes with its clients, involving lawsuits worth hundreds of billions of won.

According to the IT industry on Wednesday, LG CNS is engaged in lawsuits totaling around 60 billion KRW, including damage claims and payment disputes with entities such as the Asan Foundation and the government. Most of these lawsuits reportedly stem from disputes arising during the course of various projects with clients.

The largest claim involves the Asan Foundation, which operates Seoul Asan Hospital. The Asan Foundation has filed for damages amounting to approximately 37.9 billion KRW. The Seoul Eastern District Court is currently reviewing the case, and a first-instance verdict is expected soon.

The lawsuit dates back to March 2018, when the Asan Foundation filed a damages suit against LG CNS. LG CNS had been involved in the development of the "AMIS 3.0" hospital information system for Seoul Asan Hospital between 2015 and 2017. The foundation raised concerns about the outcome of the project, which ultimately escalated into legal action.
