[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] Three shipbuilding companies, Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea Shipbuilding, and K Shipbuilding, dropped their complaints to the Fair Trade Commission against Hyundai Heavy Industries Group (currently HD Hyundai). It has entered a 'reconciliatory mode' with the mediation of the political circle.

According to the industry on the 30th, three shipbuilders, including Samsung Heavy Industries, dropped a lawsuit filed with the Fair Trade Commission against the three HD Hyundai shipbuilding companies on the 12th.

Earlier, these shipbuilders and Hanwha Ocean filed a complaint with the FTC in August last year, saying, "HD Hyundai contacted many of our key workers to propose a turnover and provided excessive profits than usual remuneration." Since then, the Fair Trade Commission has continued its investigation by conducting an on-site survey of shipbuilders belonging to HD Hyundai in November last year.

However, Hanwha Ocean, which filed a lawsuit together, has not yet submitted a withdrawal. An official from Hanwha Ocean emphasized, "As the FTC is conducting an investigation, we will receive an official judgment."
