TenStorrent, a Canadian AI chip development startup, said on the 31st, "We will work with LG Electronics to develop smart TVs, automotive products and data center driving chips."

The company, located in Toronto, Canada, was founded in 2016 and is developing AI computers. Jim Keller, regarded as a legendary central processing unit (CPU) designer, is the CEO. Keller is a leader in architectural design in the US semiconductor companies Intel and AMAD and electric vehicle company Tesla. With this collaboration, LG Electronics will be able to utilize Tensorrent's AI technology in premium TVs, major smart home appliances and automotive semiconductors. LG Electronics has developed and installed an Alpha Nine processor that improves image quality based on AI in all products of OLED TV’, an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV lineup. In addition, we are focusing on developing various next-generation chips such as automotive semiconductor modules and UP home appliance processors. LG Electronics expects that this collaboration will further enhance the development capacity of the SIC Center, which is in charge of designing and developing semiconductors as an organization under the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
