[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The labor union of pilots from Asiana Airlines has decided to begin a law-abiding struggle to delay the takeoff of the aircraft in a legitimate way on the 7th, and domestic and international flights operated by Asiana Airlines are expected to suffer a number of delays starting on the same day.

There are even concerns that the departure of the aircraft could be delayed by up to an hour if the pilot belonging to the union carries out a law-abiding struggle. In addition, if the situation overlaps with the low-speed flight on the ground, the delayed flight time is expected to increase further.

According to the airline industry on the 6th, Asiana Airlines' pilot union held a vote on the dispute from the 23rd to the 28th of last month. According to the results of the vote, 946 out of a total of 1,095 union members participated in the vote, with 874 votes in favor and 72 against.

Based on the approval rating of more than 90%, the pilot union will form a dispute response committee and launch a law-abiding struggle to delay the flight's operation time in a legal manner from the 7th.

In principle, Asiana Airlines requires pilots and crew members to conduct a flight briefing 1 hour and 20 minutes before take-off, but pilots and crew members have gathered about 30 to 40 minutes earlier for smooth boarding and take-off.

However, from the 7th, the pilot's union policy is not to rush for a flight briefing. There may be differences in flight routes, but the passenger boarding time may be delayed for at least 30 minutes.

The flight time may be delayed once again even after passengers have completed boarding. When driving on the airport runway to fly the aircraft, the pilot's union plans to comply with the ground speed prescribed by law and fly only within the minimum regulation speed and regulated altitude even after takeoff.
