[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] DL E&C announced on the 29th that it has won an order for Baekhyeon MICE urban development project worth 6.3 trillion won.
DL E&C plans to create Baekhyun MICE Complex as a testbed for future technology industries such as robots, autonomous driving, and UAM, and a space to produce world-class content through its own collaboration and convergence.
Seongnam City Development Corporation selected DL E&C-Meritz Securities Consortium as the preferred bidder for Baekhyun MICE Urban Development Project on the 26th.
The project is to create an exhibition convention center, a complex business facility (including rental housing), an office, a hotel, a parking lot, and a park in Jeongja-dong 1, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si.
The total business site is 206,350㎡, which is 1.4 times larger than COEX in Gangnam. It is 2.5 times larger than Magok MICE, which is currently under development, and 7 times larger than the MICE project in the northern station area of Seoul Station. In the future, it will be reborn as a hub connecting Pangyo Techno Valley and Bundang's high-tech industrial infrastructure.
DL E&C will work with world-class partners for the successful operation of Baekhyun MICE. In the case of convention operation, ASM Global, which operates a convention about 40 times larger than KINTEX, the nation's largest operator, and Deutsche Messe, which owns and operates the world's largest Hanover exhibition hall in Germany, expressed their intention to participate.
In addition, U.S.-based Tubman, which participated in the planning stage of Yeouido IFC Mall and Starfield, plans to participate in the planning and operation of commercial facilities, and Hyatt, which specializes in the operation of convention-linked hotels, will also participate.
