Orion Chairman Dam Chul-gon Gifts 6,000 Shares to Two-Year-Old Granddaughter

[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Dam Chul-gon, 70, Chairman of Orion Group, has gifted 6,000 common shares of Orion Corp. to his two-year-old granddaughter, Lee Seo-yeon.



According to a filing with the Financial Supervisory Service on August 13, the gifted shares are valued at approximately ₩651 million (US$480,000) based on Orion’s closing price of ₩108,500 per share that day. The stake represents 0.01% of the company’s outstanding shares.



Following the transaction, Chairman Dam’s holdings decreased from 183,670 shares to 177,670 shares, reducing his ownership from 0.47% to 0.45%. Orion’s largest shareholder is Orion Holdings, which owns a 37.37% stake (14,775,139 shares).



Dam’s wife, Lee Hwa-kyung, 69, Vice Chairwoman of Orion Group, holds 4.08% (1,613,553 shares), making her the company’s second-largest shareholder.
