[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] Samsung Electronics announced on Tuesday that it has supplied over 10,000 Galaxy S20–S24 smartphones to the Chicago Police Department. This move is part of an ongoing collaboration since 2018 to modernize police operations through advanced technological solutions.

The Chicago Police chose Samsung Galaxy smartphones primarily for their compatibility with Samsung DeX, which allows seamless switching between mobile and PC experiences. Officers can use the smartphones on the go and then connect them to DeX in police vehicles, enabling them to work on reports and administrative tasks more efficiently.

Additionally, the Samsung Knox Suite security platform enhances device management by ensuring efficient configuration, security, and operating system updates. This initiative is expected to significantly improve the productivity and operational efficiency of law enforcement officers in Chicago.
