According to the industry on the 21st, LG Display, following Samsung Display, received the final approval of the iPhone 15 OLED and started delivering it.
The OLED supplied by LG Display is two types for iPhone 15 Promax and iPhone 15 Promax, and the one for Promax, which was waiting for approval, was recently passed.
As a result, LG Display will supply two OLED panels promoted with Apple as planned, and Samsung Display has secured a position to supply OLEDs to four iPhone 15 Pro and two general models.
The BOE, which tried to supply displays to two general iPhone 15 models, has yet to be approved, and the benefits of the iPhone 15 will be concentrated on the domestic display industry.
The iPhone 15 Pro and ProMax models have low power efficiency Crystal oxide (LTPO) OLED panels are applied. It comes with the iPhone 15 and plus model Crystal silicon (LTPS) OLED panel is included. Samsung Display will supply all models and LG Display will supply Pro and Promax models.
