[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Samsung Electronics has suspended the rollout of its One UI 7 update for major Galaxy smartphone models, including the Galaxy S24 series and the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. The decision, made on April 14, comes after users reported critical bugs despite a months-long beta testing period.

According to industry sources, Samsung removed all One UI 7-related announcements from its official website. One UI is Samsung’s custom user interface and the foundation for its first fully integrated AI platform across Galaxy devices.

Some users who installed the update experienced a bug that prevented them from unlocking their phones—prompting Samsung to halt the update across key markets including China, Europe, the United States, and South Korea.

The abrupt suspension, despite recruiting beta testers as early as December last year, is raising concerns over the company’s software quality control and preparedness.

The move is expected to delay update schedules for other Galaxy models beyond the S24 and Z series.
