The figure is the largest increase in the past five years, up more than 40 trillion won from a year earlier.

On November 11, the Fair Trade Commission announced the Status of Internal Transactions of Business Groups Subject to Disclosure (Current Status of Goods and Services Transactions) in 2023. The survey targets 2,503 affiliates belonging to 82 publicly notified business groups designated in May, and analyzed the current status of internal transactions from January to December 2022.

This is the largest increase in recent five years. In addition, the internal transactions of these business groups accounted for 71.4% of the internal transactions of the publicly disclosed business groups (275.1 trillion won).

Their share of internal transactions was 13.9%, which was 1.7%p higher than the total share of internal transactions (12.2%) of corporate groups subject to disclosure. It has increased by 1.0%p compared to the previous year.
