[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Seoul, August 31, 2025 — SNT Group announced that it has completed the acquisition of a 330,000-square-meter factory site in Louisiana, U.S., as part of a strategic initiative to significantly expand production in North America across its core businesses, including automotive components, defense, and energy. The group plans to begin operations in phases.

Louisiana is considered a key U.S. logistics hub with access to the Mississippi River and strong connectivity to major Midwestern industrial bases via interstate highways. It is also close to major automotive manufacturing clusters in Alabama and Georgia. In addition, the state is a center for LNG projects and home to large-scale petrochemical and refining complexes, making it an ideal base for energy-intensive industries.

The investment will be led by SNT Motiv, which will collaborate with SNT Energy to establish an integrated production hub in North America. Through this initiative, SNT Motiv will localize the production of motors and other auto components for supply to U.S. customers. Meanwhile, SNT Energy plans to strengthen its responsiveness to U.S. demand by localizing production of air coolers for LNG projects and heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) for combined-cycle power plants.

SNT Group stated that the acquisition reflects its commitment to bolstering its global footprint and enhancing its ability to serve U.S.-based clients in both the automotive and energy sectors.
