[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] YG Entertainment recorded a closing price of 60,100 won on the 7th, plunging more than 20% from the beginning of the previous month.

If YG Entertainment, which recently failed to renew its icon with Big Bang, misses Black Pink, only boy group Treasure and girl group Baby Monster, which will debut in the future, will remain in the company's idol group pipeline.

In particular, it is drawing keen attention as securities firms have recently said that it is unlikely that all Blackpink members will renew their contracts.

"The current scenario related to the renewal of Black Pink is unlikely to renew all contracts, and it is highly likely that some members will renew their contracts and continue their activities as a full body of Black Pink," said Kim Hyun-yong, a researcher at Hyundai Motor Securities Co.

"In the case of a three-person renewal, Black Pink's sales will remain at 70-80%, but below that, it is reasonable to say that sales will fall sharply below 50%," Researcher Kim said. "Therefore, it will inevitably be interpreted as a major negative factor for YG if it does not renew everything."

Investors are also complaining about the company's position that it is still "in talks with members" for two months after the contract expires.
