[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] People Power Party lawmaker Choi Seung-jae announced during this year's parliamentary audit that he would deal with various controversies and problems related to Kakao.

Choi held a press conference at the National Assembly on the 18th and claimed, "Kakao is shocking the public by showing only predatory and dominant low-class capitalist behavior and various problems, not the role of the right platform."

Choi then pointed out that the public mockery of Big Tech, including Kakao, is not new, and explained, "The policy of refunding a 10% fee for Kakao Talk's unused mobile exchange rights has been consistently pointed out, but it has been fixed only recently."

In addition, Kim Bum-soo, the actual owner of Kakao, promised to apologize and reflect on various controversies, including the holding company, tax evasion and violation of local businesses, but he was seized and investigated by the FSS on charges of market price manipulation using undisclosed information, was warned for omitting a report under the Fair Trade Act, and was accused of violating the separation of industrial and industrial capital last year."
