Samsung Electronics MX is a place to make consumer products, communication and network equipment such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and PCs.
As a major customer who purchases and uses Intel's central processing unit (CPU), the two companies are known to have shared their cooperative achievements and discussed future cooperation in mobile and network areas.
The meeting with Samsung Electronics' semiconductor business division was also noted, but discussions on the semiconductor sector are likely to have taken place earlier as CEO Gelsinger and President Ki Kyung-hyun met when Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida invited the head of a global semiconductor company on the 18th.
Gelsinger CEO is said to have met with domestic companies related to Intel business in addition to Samsung.
