Hanwha Ocean, which was officially launched in May, has continued to compete with HD Hyundai Group since it recently faced HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in the Defense Acquisition Program Administration's escort project.

According to the shipbuilding industry on the 10th, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Mipo Dockyard are hiring experienced production engineers in the second half of the year from the end of last month to this month.

Hanwha Ocean is also hiring experienced workers from June to the end of this year. The shipbuilding industry has been steadily hiring workers around the Ministry of Justice as the number of orders has increased recently and labor shortages have been steadily rising.

In August last year, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries hired experienced employees and asked the Fair Trade Commission to investigate that Hanwha Ocean (then Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering) and Samsung Heavy Industries are "withdrawing workers from the same industry."

The competition between the two companies is expected to be fierce in the field of ship engine business in the future. In February, Hanwha Group decided to buy a 33% stake in the HSD engine, which makes ship engines through its affiliate Hanwha Impact, and began to compete with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, the No. 1 ship engine field.
