[Apha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Paul Lee] Kiwoom Securities predicted that SK Hynix would post a deficit of KRW 1.6 trillion in the third quarter due to sluggish NAND sector. In the fourth quarter, DRAM (DRAM) prices are expected to rise, and it is advised to buy when stock prices are adjusted.

On the 19th, Kiwoom Securities expected SK Hynix's third-quarter sales to be 7.9 trillion won and operating profit to be 1.6 trillion won, up 9% from the previous quarter.

"Although the DRAM sector is expected to turn into an operating surplus due to increased sales of high value-added products, large-scale operating losses in the NAND sector, which is affected by sluggish demand in the storage market, will continue," said Kiwoom Securities.

Kiwoom Securities predicted that it will succeed in turning into an operating surplus in three quarters, saying, "The shipment growth rate of DRAM will increase by 12% compared to the previous quarter and the average price will increase by 7% due to the increase in the proportion of high value-added products such as high bandwidth memory (HBM)."

However, NAND shipments are expected to decrease by 3% compared to the previous quarter. The average price is estimated to decrease only 1% due to changes in product mix (Mix), such as reducing the proportion of single product sales.

In the fourth quarter, it recorded an operating loss of 900 billion won, slightly exceeding market forecasts.
