[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] South Korea and Poland will strengthen cooperation in the battery industry, including the battery supply chain.

The Korea Battery Industry Association signed two memorandums of understanding (MOU) with the Polish Automobile Industry Association and the Polish Alternative Fuel Association in Warsaw, Poland on the 14th (local time) to strengthen cooperation in the battery industry.

The agencies of the two countries will share information on policies and regulations related to European battery law to enhance the stability, reliability and sustainability of the battery supply chain and jointly cooperate on industry difficulties related to the battery supply chain. We will also promote cooperation such as regular events, training of human resources, and exchange of technology development.

In order to foster the battery recycling industry, we will promote mutually friendly development that can activate business networking among each member company.

The Battery Industry Association will hold the 'EU Battery Policy Enterprise Utilization Seminar' for domestic industries at the end of this month for continuous exchange of information on European Union (EU) policies and regulations. It will also participate in the World Secondary Regulatory Forum (WRBRF 2023) in Spain in September to strengthen international cooperation on global battery industry policies. Next year, the company plans to hold an 'Interbattery 2024' event in March and strengthen strategic alliances between Korea-EU battery companies.
