[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] GS Engineering & Construction will pay delay compensation to the union for failing to comply with the construction period of "DMC Art Foret Xi (redevelopment of Susaek District 7)" in Susaek-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul. At the time of the sale in August 2020, DMC Art Foret Xi was scheduled to move in February this year, but the actual week was delayed by four months to the end of this month.
According to the maintenance industry on the 27th, GS Engineering & Construction will pay 7.2 billion won in delayed compensation to the Susaek District 7 union due to the delay in the construction period of DMC Art Foret Xi. Of these, 3 billion won will be returned in the name of increasing construction costs. GS Engineering & Construction planned to complete the construction of DMC Art Foret Xi in February this year and sold it in 2020, but failed to comply with the actual construction period. DMC Art Foret Xi is an apartment with up to 22 floors, 8 buildings, and 672 households in Susaek-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, and is scheduled to move in at the end of this month.
As a result, GS Engineering & Construction will pay 7.2 billion won in delayed compensation to the DMC Art Foret Xi union. "We will receive delay compensation from the construction company due to the delay in the construction period of DMC Art Foret Xi," said a member of DMC Art Foret Xi. "However, we have not yet heard how much the union will compensate individual members for the delay compensation the union has received."
Despite GS Engineering & Construction's payment of delayed compensation, the amount of compensation received by each member of the DMC Art Foret Xi is not expected to be large. The DMC Art Foret Xi Association must reimburse 183 households that received general sales of a significant amount of the delayed compensation received from the construction company.
