[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] The Tae Young E&C said on the 21st that it will have priority business rights for the China BSMSN Economic Zone Water Supply Project worth about $1 billion in Bangladesh.

Earlier on the 20th, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Overseas Infrastructure City Development Support Corporation (KIND) held the "5th Korea - Bang PPP Joint Council" in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and announced that they have secured the right to negotiate on the water supply project in Bangladesh's BSMSN economic zone.

Tae Young E&C's achievements are attributed mainly to its experience in constructing water treatment facilities in Bangladesh. Taeyoung E&C completed the Modunagat water purification plant in 2019 and is also carrying out the Bandal-Juri Waterworks Project (to be completed by the end of this month) and the Saigon Sewerage Project (to be completed in January 2027) to expand water and sewage facilities.
