The Korea Communications Commission will hold a plenary session later this month to hear the company's statement regarding Adobe's violation of the Telecommunications Business Act.
Adobe is suspected of undermining user interests under the Telecommunications Business Act in the process of providing software subscription services.
The Korea Communications Commission has written a fact-finding report on violations of the Telecommunications Business Act. Adobe and the Ministry of Science and ICT have also asked them to submit their opinions by the 14th.
According to Article 50 of the Telecommunications Business Act, operators should not provide services in a way that is different from the terms and conditions of use or significantly hurts users' interests.
It is also prohibited from explaining, notifying, or falsely informing matters such as service charges, contract conditions, and rate discounts.
The Korea Communications Commission will collect Adobe's opinions and decide whether to violate the Telecommunications Business Act in the future.
Adobe was judged by the Fair Trade Commission in November last year that "the terms and conditions, such as not refunding fees even if software subscriptions are canceled, are in violation of the Terms and Conditions Act."
At the time, the FTC recommended Adobe correct the software market based on the judgment that consumer rights need to be protected in the process of switching to subscription.
