[Alpha Biz=(Chicago) Reporter Kim Jisun] KT has set a goal of generating more than 1 trillion won in sales in the artificial intelligence (AI) service business within two years.

Currently, the most prominent areas of the KT AI business are AICC and AI logistics. Cumulative orders amounted to 450 billion won and 350 billion won, respectively, with total orders amounting to 800 billion won.

"AICC, AI logistics and digital logistics are the largest in terms of sales," said Vice President Song. "In 2025, sales will be about KRW 350 billion in AICC and KRW 500 billion in logistics." "Robots and education are worth more than 200 billion won, and the healthcare business is worth 50 billion won.

The AI business sales target, which totaled 1.3 trillion won, did not include the super-large AI area. If included, we will be able to increase our sales volume. "It is a goal except for super-large AI 'belief'," said Vice President Song Jae-ho. "I personally think robots and education will be a bigger market. It will be the biggest market in this era by creating one by one."

KT will invest 7 trillion won in technology and infrastructure services for five years until 2027 to secure business competitiveness. Investment has already begun in some areas. Choi Joon-ki, head of AI· Big Data Business Division, said, "We plan to spend 4 trillion won in the technology field, 2 trillion won on upgrading AI infrastructure and 1 trillion won on discovering and upgrading AI service businesses such as education and care."
