[Alpha Biz= Kim Jisun] Prosecutors have initiated a forced investigation into NH Nonghyup Bank and a real estate development company over suspicions of illegal loans worth tens of billions of won.

According to legal sources, the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office launched a raid this morning (6th) related to the allegations of improper loans. Prosecutors and investigators were dispatched to NH Nonghyup Bank's headquarters, A Industrial Development Group, and A Holdings to conduct searches. A Group is a major conglomerate affiliated with a regional daily newspaper in the Seoul metropolitan area.

The prosecutors are reportedly investigating suspicions that A Group illegally received loans worth 3-4 billion won from NH Nonghyup Bank.

Earlier, during the 2023 National Assembly audit, allegations were raised that NH Nonghyup Bank had provided a loan of 10 billion won to A Holdings even before the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund's guarantee was issued.
