LS Electronics

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] On August 13, MSCI announced its regular review for the MSCI Korea Index, revealing that LS Electronic will be added to the index, while SK IET will be removed. This change could lead to significant inflows and outflows of passive funds tracking the index.

Shinhan Investment Corp. estimates that LS Electronic's inclusion could attract approximately 148.5 billion won in passive funds. Conversely, SK IET's exclusion is expected to result in a withdrawal of around 55 billion won. The index rebalancing will be finalized based on the closing price on August 30, with the official announcement on September 2.
