[Alpha Biz= Paul Lee] A total of 57 listed companies, including Geumyang and Samboo Construction, have encountered reasons for potential delisting.

According to the Korea Exchange's (KRX) announcement on Wednesday regarding the "2024 Fiscal Year December Settlement Corporate Market Action Status," 14 companies listed on the KOSPI and 43 companies on the KOSDAQ are facing delisting risks due to reasons such as rejection of audit opinions.

The breakdown is as follows: 19 companies have newly faced delisting reasons, 20 companies for the second consecutive year, and 4 companies for the third consecutive year. Companies that have newly faced delisting reasons can file an objection within 15 business days from the notice date, and if the objection is accepted, a grace period will be granted for improvement.

Among the companies facing delisting risks are Geumyang, Samboo Construction, Beomyang Construction, KC Cottrell, KC Green Holdings, Star SM REITs, EN Plus, Kookbo, WelbioTech, Hanchang, IID, IHQ, KH Filux, and Sewon ENC, all of which received rejected audit opinions for their business reports submitted last year.

Companies that have received insufficient audit opinions for two consecutive years will have their delisting status reviewed by the Corporate Review Committee this year, with a final decision expected on whether they will be delisted. Companies like Hanul BnC, KH Future Materials, KH Construction, and Jangwon Tech, which have failed to meet audit standards for three consecutive years, were officially delisted as of today.

Additionally, the KRX has taken market actions on 28 companies by designating them as management-listed, 6 companies by removing their designation, and 31 companies as newly designated for investment caution, with 31 companies having their designation removed.
