[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] Two active police officers are undergoing disciplinary procedures after leaking investigation details to officials at SPC Group, who were under investigation for allegedly pressuring employees to leave the labor union, and receiving gifts in return.

According to data submitted to Representative Kim Seong-hui of the Democratic Party of Korea by the National Police Agency on October 9, the police were informed by the prosecution on May 2 about misconduct involving the two officers.

Officer A, from the National Police Agency headquarters, is accused of accepting gift cards from SPC officials and subsequently leaking information about the investigation and advising on evidence destruction.

Officer B, from a local police station, allegedly received holiday gifts from SPC officials and shared investigation details.

The police have conducted an internal audit and reported the findings to the disciplinary department, with plans to request disciplinary action at the next committee meeting.
