[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 8th that Hyundai Motor, Kia, Jaguar Land Rover Korea, and Volkswagen Group Korea are voluntarily recalling 7,738 vehicles of 11 different models due to manufacturing defects.

Hyundai is recalling 4,118 units including the Avante, Casper, Venue, Sonata, and Kona. Kia is recalling 2,668 units including the K3, K5, and Morning.

Two models of the new Range Rover Sport P360 by Jaguar Land Rover, totaling 329 units, are being recalled due to defects in the rear right side lighting fixture fastening nut, which may result in various lighting systems (rear lights, brake lights, turn signals) not functioning properly. The recall will begin on the 13th for these models.

The Volkswagen Touareg 3 3.0 TDI, totaling 623 units, is being recalled due to a software error in the driver assistance mobile app, which causes the reverse function (returning the vehicle to its original position) to fail to detect obstacles during remote parking. The corrective action will start on the 22nd.

Owners can check if their vehicles are subject to recall and get specific defect information by entering their vehicle registration number and VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on the Auto Recall Center website.

Each company plans to inform vehicle owners of the recall and corrective action methods via mail and mobile phone text messages.
