Korean Air raises wages by 3.4% this year

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] According to the aviation industry on the 16th, Korean Air decided on a wage increase rate for this year, setting it at 3.4% based on the basic salary. Korean Air also plans to pay congratulations bonuses for the approval of the corporate merger with Asiana Airlines.

On the 13th, Korean Air finalized the wage increase rate for this year at 3.4% based on the basic salary. The increase, which amounts to around 120,000 won per month (2.46 million won annually) for managerial and supervisory positions, will be retroactively applied.

Korean Air will also provide 600,000 points for welfare mall benefits per person, and will increase the company's share of health insurance premiums from the current 5,000 won to 15,000 won.

Upon completion of the corporate merger with Asiana Airlines, Korean Air plans to pay a congratulations bonus at a level of 50% of the annual bonus.

Furthermore, Korean Air has signed a collective agreement that includes measures such as operating an early retirement support system for employees approaching the wage peak, and expanding flexible working hours. The agreement also includes provisions for expanding support for overseas general education expenses, as well as increasing the limits for housing purchase and rental assistance.
