[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] According to industry sources on the 11th, renowned overseas gaming companies such as 2K and Riot Games participated in SGF 2024, held in Los Angeles from the 7th to the 11th. Korean leading gaming companies including NCSoft and Nexon also showcased new content related to their new releases.

NCSoft unveiled new footage of their new action-packed combat game, "Battle Crush," during the event. This marks the first in-game footage presentation in nine months since the trailer was revealed during Nintendo Direct last September. The new footage features characters inspired by mythology engaging in battles, depicted with 2D animation showcasing their characteristics and skills. NCSoft plans to release the early access version of "Battle Crush" on June 27th in 100 countries worldwide, including Korea, North America, Europe, Asia, and Southeast Asia. The game will be available on platforms such as Nintendo Switch, Steam, Google Play Store, and Apple App Store, all of which will support cross-play.

Nexon also announced the official release date of their upcoming next-generation shooter game, "The First Descendant," during the live showcase at SGF 2024. "The First Descendant" is a PC and console game featuring high-quality visuals implemented with Unreal Engine 5 and flashy gun-based combat.

The game is set for a global simultaneous release on July 2nd on various platforms including PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. Cross-play support between platforms will enhance the gaming experience.
