Kakao Bank to Suspend Financial Transactions for Regular System Maintenance on October 6

[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Kakao Bank announced on October 1 that it will conduct regular system maintenance from 1:00 AM to 8:00 AM on October 6, aimed at ensuring stable operations of its IT systems. During this maintenance period, all financial services will be temporarily suspended, including access to the Kakao Bank app, fund transfers, card payments, and ATM transactions.


With a total customer base of 24 million and 18 million monthly active users (MAUs), Kakao Bank is taking these measures to provide more reliable services. The maintenance will involve checking the operational status of IT equipment, as well as making necessary configuration changes and upgrades to the systems.

The scheduled downtime is expected to last for 7 hours, from 1:00 AM to 8:00 AM on the 6th, but the timing may change depending on the progress of the work.
