[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Sangjin] Taihan Cable has continued to strengthen its position in the U.S. market, securing a total of KRW 720 billion ($720 million) in orders this year.

On the 5th, Taihan Cable announced that its U.S. sales subsidiary, T.E. USA, has won a long-term cable supply project in the western United States. Under this contract, Taihan Cable will supply up to KRW 90 billion ($90 million) worth of cables over the next three years. Additionally, the company secured another project worth around KRW 20 billion ($20 million) in the eastern region.

With these two new contracts, Taihan Cable’s total orders in the U.S. market this year have surpassed KRW 720 billion, marking its largest annual order volume in North America to date. This achievement exceeds the previous record set in 2022, when the company secured approximately KRW 400 billion in contracts.

In the U.S., over half of the underground power grid has exceeded the 40-year replacement cycle, driving demand for infrastructure updates. Additionally, investments in new power grids are expected to continue as the demand for AI data centers increases.
