[Alpha Biz= Reporter Kim Jisun] The Korea Exchange announced on the 27th that EcoPro BM, a KOSDAQ-listed company, has submitted a preliminary review application for its planned transfer to the KOSPI market.
EcoPro BM specializes in the production of cathode materials for secondary batteries. Established in May 2016, its main business includes the manufacturing and sale of cathode active materials and related components for secondary batteries. EcoPro holds a 45.5% stake in the company.
EcoPro BM aims to complete its KOSPI listing by the first quarter of next year. Earlier in March, the company’s board of directors approved the plan at a shareholder meeting.
As of the closing price on the day of the announcement, EcoPro BM’s market capitalization stood at 13.22 trillion won, ranking second on the KOSDAQ after Alteogen, which has a market cap of 16.29 trillion won. Last year, EcoPro BM reported standalone revenue of 3.15 trillion won but recorded an operating loss of 62.2 billion won.
